Foreign Rights & Contracts Manager | Fiction & Non-Fiction

Maria Montner has worked at Bonnier Rights since the agency first began in 2003. After a few years as Editorial Assistant at Albert Bonnier Förlag, she joined the new Bonnier Group Agency building the administrative structure for handling contracts. Since then, her role has expanded to incorporating foreign rights to older titles on Bonnier Right’s list and handling all renewals and permissions, negotiating adult fiction contract agreements with our counterpart as well as liaising with editors and co-agents about the finer points of publishing contracts.

Maria manages international rights for long-standing authors and estates such as Harry Martinson, Vilhelm Moberg and Dag Hammarskjöld. She has a profound interest in both administrative work and literature which makes her an invaluable member of the team. Aside from her work at the agency Maria also works as a trained artist and painter and spends Fridays in her studio.
