Liselott Willén

Liselott Willén (born 1972) grew up on the island of Åland in the Baltic Sea. It is also the setting of her first novel, Sten för sten (Stone By Stone), which was published in 2001 and was a success with the literary critics. With the publication of Eldsmärket (The Nevus) in 2003, she confirmed her position as one of the most fascinating Swedish writers of a younger generation. In a milieu altogether different from the first novel, the reader is confronted with the role games of a group of young people, another intricate psychological suspense story, focusing on such themes as the relationship between fiction and reality, guilt and reconciliation. Liselott Willén is a physician and lives in the town of Örebro.
