Måns Gahrton
Måns Gahrton was born in 1961 in Lund. He took a degree in law and afterwards started to work in the book publishing business. Måns Gahrton read a lot as a child, played soccer and music and loved girls, shyly and from afar. Those strong though secret feelings etched themselves into his consciousness and together with the letters from Kamratposten’s readers and regular visits to schools, constitute the breeding grounds for ideas to the stories about Eva & Adam. The stories about Eva and Adam have sold more than 1.2 million copies in Sweden, 750,000 of which were books and comic strip albums – which have also been translated into seven languages – and almost 500,000 CD-books and video cassettes. Among Måns and Johan’s extensive production one can also note the 12 illustrated books about Ronny and Julia, and a series about football, Mållösa United and the newly started series Livet enligt Rosa. The book series about Eva & Adam, Ronny & Julia and Rosa have all been dramatised for TV.
