Ice GamesLiselott Willén
Winter and bitter cold. The bay of the sea below Alex’s house is covered with ice. The water inside the almost sunken old boat is also frozen. On the days Alex decides not to go to school, she spends her time daydreaming there. She imagines that she and Sara, who lives in the big house across the bay, are friends. They are running through the elegant villa, dressed as princesses, each with a little lap-dog with a ribbon around its neck.
And then it happens – during the Christmas-holiday they become friends. To Alex, who has desired it for so long, the taste of friendship is sweet and pure.
But one day there is a new boy at school, Jakob, and the twosome turns into a tense threesome. Their games become heavy with new and unfamiliar feelings, and things get out of hand.
