Ingrid is Hungry
Ingrid is HungryKaterina Janouch, illustrated by Mervi Lindman
Ingrid’s stomach is rumbling and whining. Ingrid is hungry and she wants to eat straight away. Bread is good, tomatoes are fun, soup is great and potatoes too. Ingrid eats a lot. Then it is Ingrid’s turn to cook. She makes food for her stuffed animal friends. She makes many different dishes. Apple porridge with bilberry, magic pumpkin soup, squid sweets and tiny tasty cakes. Ingrid and her friends enjoy a great feast. And once they have made the dishes it is time to eat some more! Yummy!
Mervi Lindman’s warm, imaginative and amusing illustrations harmonise perfectly with Katerina Janouch’s child-friendly text. The many overseas editions of their work are a testimony to the success of their collaboration. Their books have been translated into a total of twelve languages!
