The Fairy Tale Treasure Trove of Elsa Beskow – TRIPP TrappTrull

Elsa Beskow, illustrated by Elsa Beskow

The first book of three containing some of the treasures by Elsa Beskow. A treasure chest filled with magical moments.

This splendid volume contains the best-loved fairytales, verses and pictures, all collected together in one place. The collection includes well-known stories such as “The Children of Tomtebo” and “The Tale of the Little, Little Old Woman” as well as some of Alice Tegnér’s popular children’s songs along with beautiful pictures, but also some less familiar gold nuggets from Elsa Beskow’s fantastic treasury of fairytales.
With original illustrations in colour and black and white, this is a treasure trove to delight both children and adults.

Elsa Beskow (1874-1953) made her debut as a writer of children’s books in 1897 with “The Tale of the Little, Little Old Woman”, and ever since generations of children have been able to enjoy her creative imagination, finding their way into the wonderful world of her illustrations.

Today her works are classics which are not only a part of our cultural heritage, but which have also inspired many subsequent creators and illustrators of picture books.
Elsa Beskow’s warm, secure, amusing, exciting and beautiful books are published today in 14 languages all over the world.
