The Mystery of Death

Jonathan Lindström, illustrated by Jonathan Lindström

Yes, and then you die. And what happens after that?

Nobody knows for sure, but people think all sorts of things about it! This book is about death and what we human beings know, what we think, and what we hope can happen!
Throughout the ages, people have always had different ideas about what happens after death. It is something that comes to all living beings. But is everything really over then?
Some people would certainly like to think that it goes on in some way. Some people think that you come to Paradise, others that you will be born again in a new body. That can feel good both for the person who is going to die, and for those who like the person who dies.
And what about funerals? Why do we do it like we do, and how do other people go about it? Are there ghosts? Perhaps there is some sort of eternal life? Can the atoms in our bodies become parts of new people, animals, flowers and mountains?

This book is all about death. Not so much about the sad side, but more about all the exciting aspects.
