THE DARK HEART awarded “Best Series” at Series Mania

THE DARK HEART was awarded “Best Series” in the International Panorama competition at Series Mania in Lille, France.

The series, produced by FLX, is a psychological thriller based on the true-crime book by Joakim Palmkvist. Premiering on Discovery+, the adaptation is a dramatized version of the story of how a Missing People volunteer solved a murder that left the police stumped in Förlösa in 2012.

Earlier this year, the series premiered at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival in the Indie Episodic category. REInvent Studios, who are handling international sales, have sold the series to Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain and Poland, with more territories expected to be announced soon. The book has so far been published in the US (Amazon Crossing), Russia (Eksmo Publishing) and Poland (Burda Publishing).
