Strong Teeth and Nasty Trolls – Stories and Facts about Teeth
Josefine Sundström, illustrated by Emma GöthnerCome along with Saga and Samir to the dentist!
Saga has gotten a letter from the dentist’s office. It’s exciting and a little nerve-wracking.
When Saga gets there, she has to sit in the dentist’s chair and open her mouth wide while the dentist looks into it and counts all her teeth. She gets to see what a dental drill looks like, and the dentist tells her how to take care of her teeth to keep them healthy. And how funny … Saga’s dentist happens to be Samir’s mum, Lejla!
This Saga Stories book contains a wonderfully illustrated story about a trip to the dentist, as well as a fact section with fun and useful information about teeth and dental health. In the fact section, you can read all about the Tooth Family, the Spitting Buddies, the Acid Gang, Fluorida – and the Tooth Trolls, of course!
The book is a collaboration between the Swedish Cancer Society and Generation Pep. The Swedish Cancer Society strives to create a health-promoting society and improve public health so that fewer people will be affected by cancer. Generation Pep works to raise awareness of and commitment to children and young people’s health.
Experts working with paediatric dentistry at the Karolinska Institute and Swedish Public Dental Care have been consulted in the making of the book.
