All About ADHD
Johanna GoaWhy do children in the same class find it variously difficult to keep up when the teacher explains something? Do you have to run around and talk loudly to have ADHD? What does a meltdown feel like? Actually, what is ADHD? And how do you get a diagnosis?
Behavioural scientist Johanna Goa works daily with children and families who have questions about ADHD, ADD and the road to a diagnosis. Through her work and her presence on social media, she saw a strong need for an accessible book for children and families – and wrote the book she herself had been missing. Illustrated by comic artist Ellen Greider and fact-checked by experts, this book is aimed at children aged 6–12. With short and clear texts, it focuses on everyday life: food, sleep, screen time, homework, conflicts and the feeling of being different.
Since its publication in March 2026, the book has become best-selling in Sweden with sales of over 7,000 copies – confirming that there is a need for a warm, empowering book with practical strategies aiming to build self-esteem and offering support for both children and adults around them.
