The Kissing Boy

Ulf Stark, illustrated by Markus Majaluoma

Everybody is kissing – everybody except Ulf!
Ulf has to learn how to kiss. After all, his brother knows how to do it, and has done it at least a hundred times. But who can teach him about the mysteries of love?
Then along comes Berit, a girl who is teased by the other boys because she’s so tough. She decides to give Ulf some lessons in kissing. And Ulf just daren’t say no. However, it turns out that Berit might actually be quite sweet, and this business of kissing is quite nice…

The Kissing Boy is an entertaining sequel to the critically acclaimed The Boy Who’s Got What It Takes, The Miracle Boy and Detective Boy. It is a warm, easy-to-read story. The book is richly illustrated with Markus Majaluoma’s playful, imaginative and slightly crazy pictures, superbly highlighting both the humour and the seriousness in Ulf Stark’s text.
