Eva Bexell
Eva Bexell (b. 1945) is an author, journalist and daughter to a minister, which inspired her series about the naughty grandchildren of a minister, that today are seen as modern classics in Swedish children’s literature. Her debut, ‘The Minister’s Naughty Grandchildren’, came in 1976, with the consequtive titles ‘Christmas with Grandfather’ in 1978 and ‘Rise and shine, Grandfather’ in 1987, which became massive bestsellers and were broadcast on the radio for a large audience. She is the recipient of the BMF award (from the Bookstore Association) and the Emil Prize, which is an annual prize in Astrid Lindgren’s honor.
