Karin Johannisson (1944-2016) was a professor of Intellectual History and Science at the University of Uppsala, and member of the Royal Academy of Science. She is also frequently featured as an expert and journalist in both papers, TV and radio. She is the author of several works, including the August Prize nominated Spaces of Melancholy, also published by Albert Bonniers Förlag, which was sold to 7 countries.
