Kicki Sehlstedt (b. 1975) is born and raised in Bohuslän on the Swedish West Coast. She works as a journalist, criminologist, author and a TV producer. In both fiction and documentaries, she centers her works around the consequences of a crime – for both victims, the perpetrator, and the relatives.

Jenny Bicho (b. 1972) is born and raised in south Stockholm. She is an author, journalist and documentary filmer, and when she can’t be found in the stables or writing books about hobby horses, she runs a production company handling film and photo.

“I don’t like playtime, but I do like all forms of storytelling. When my children were little, I read to them all the time, or we would create our own stories that we then acted out in different ways. When my youngest daught grew old enough to read herself, I suddenly found time to put pen to paper and write down all my stories. The result was the Vilde series, inspired by my daughter’s interest in hobby horses. The best thing about stories, I believe, is that you get to meet people, see places and understand ways of thinking that you might have never encountered otherwise. To create a story that evokes feelings and gives new insights about yourself or the world, that’s the most beautiful thing I can imagine.”
