Carina Burman (b. 1960), is a writer and literary scholar. She has received numerous awards for both her fiction and her scholarly work. In recent years, these include the Swedish Academy’s Schück Prize (2021), the Stig Ramel Memorial Award (2022), the Delblanc Prize (2023), the Special Prize of the Society of the Nine (2023), and a 2024 grant from the Eva Bonnier 70th Anniversary Fund. In 2025, Burman was appointed an honorary member of the Bellman Society.

Ella-Maria Nutti (b. 1995), was born in the northern Swedish town of Gällivare and now lives in Umeå where she is studying to be a psychologist. Ella-Maria previously taught Sami and studied at Långholmen’s writing school in Stockholm. COFFEE WITH MILK is her debut novel.

Vilhelm Moberg (1898-1973) was a Swedish journalist, author, playwright, historian, and debater. His literary career, spanning more than 45 years, is associated with the epic series The Emigrants. The four, very loved books, were published between 1949 and 1959 and deal with the Swedish emigration to the United States in the 19th century. Vilhelm Moberg was involved in the fight against Nazism and published the novel Ride This Night during World War II, with a clear connection to the resistance against Nazi Germany.
