Bo Mossberg, b. 1935, is one of Sweden’s leading artists for plants, landscapes and botanical illustrations and aquarelles. Though the years Bo has published many books on field guides containing for example floras, bees and mushrooms. He has previously provided all the illustrations for the highly praised and extremely successful book The New Flora of the Nordic Countries (2003, 2018) and its predecessor Flora of the Nordic Countries (1992) which was nominated for the August Prize. Other works are The Spring Flora [Vårfloran] (1999), Swedish Field Flora [Svensk fältflora] (2006), and Mountain Flora [Fjällflora] (2008).
Erik Hemmingsson, born in 1973, is one of Sweden’s leading obesity researchers. He has a PhD in Exercise & Health Sciences at the University of Bristol, as well as in medicin with a focus on clinical obesity research (treatment) at the Karolinska Institute. During the years 2010-2015 he was research group leader at the Obesity Centre at the Karolinska University Hospital, and he is a docent in metabolism. He has been invited as a lecturer to academic conferences around the world, talking in particular about reasons for obesity such as social and psychological factors, stress, mental illness, and the regulation of body weight. He is currently active as a researcher at the Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences in Stockholm.
