Sarah Sheppard
Sarah Sheppard, born in Sweden in 1971, started out working as an Art Director and Graphic Designer.
After a course in paleontology at the University of Stockholm, Sarah combined her profession with a passion for science and dinosaurs, and she wrote and illustrated the hugely popular and critically acclaimed book Lots of Dinosaurs, published in 2008. Since then she has continued to write and illustrate several non-fiction books for children, always with a quirky mix of humor, facts and fantasy.
In 2013 Sarah wrote and illustrated Important Maps for Daydreamers and Adventurers about all the amazing, exciting and mysterious things you can find in the world. The book is a best seller (over 60.000 copies sold!) and received the Carl von Linné Plaque, for best non-fiction children’s book in 2013. Her latest book, released in 2015, is about another exciting and prehistoric animal – the Shark!
