Vilhelm Moberg
Vilhelm Moberg (1898-1973) was a Swedish journalist, author, playwright, historian, and debater. His literary career, spanning more than 45 years, is associated with the epic series The Emigrants. The four, very loved books, were published between 1949 and 1959 and deal with the Swedish emigration to the United States in the 19th century. Vilhelm Moberg was involved in the fight against Nazism and published the novel Ride This Night during World War II, with a clear connection to the resistance against Nazi Germany.
