Come on Tulla
Margareta Nordqvist, illustrated by Margareta NordqvistWhen Pelle is riding Tulla he dreams he is far away; he is cowboy, Indian and knight.
“Come on Tulla!” is the fifth book in an easy-to-read series about pets written by Margareta Nordqvist, who illustrates the popular Sigge books. The series “Animal friends” is part of the Extra easy to read collection for complete beginners. Fun and easy reading in block capitals!
In this series we follow Maja, Lasse, Pelle and Ella who live in the country and look after various animals. In “Come on Tulla!” Pelle and his mum take a brush, halter, bridle and carrots with them to Tulla and Toto in the field. Pelle brushes, mum puts the bridle on and then Pelle climbs up on Tulla and rides bareback.
He rides slowly and well but he is dreaming that he is an Indian, a cowboy, a rodeo rider, a knight. When Tulla steps over a tree trunk that is lying in the field and then lowers her head to eat some grass, Pelle loses his balance and falls off. But Pelle didn’t hurt himself at all and is quickly on his feet. Now he wants to ride more!
Extra easy to read also includes the series “Sorro and Seppo” and “Solgatan 1”.
