Detective Gorden: A Case in any Case

Detective Gorden: A Case in any Case
Ulf Nilsson, illustrated by Gitte SpeeA good philosophical detective story by one of our foremost children’s book author, Ulf Nilsson, with wonderful illustrations by Gitte Spee.
Gordon has retired and Paddy is the only inspector at the little police station in the wood.
It’s not easy for an officer to work alone, especially when there are strange noises outside the police station at night. In the end Paddy builds up the courage to go and see Gordon in his little cottage down by the lake and ask for help.
At the same time, something bad happens: down in the meadow two little ones from the nursery school have disappeared! A little squirrel and a little rabbit. It is so awful that Gordon sheds a tear. Now he and Inspector Paddy have to put everything else aside and work together again.
It will be a case in any case…
Ulf Nilsson books are filled with humor, warmth and imagination, often with a touch of irony (directed against himself). He has received many nominations and prizes over the years. His authorship is broad and extensive and includes everything from children’s books to novels.
Gitte Spee was born in Surabaya, Indonesia. Her family moved to Holland when she was 11 years old. She graduated from Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam in 1983, and she has since then worked as an author and illustrator of children’s books.
