Falling like Stars

Alice Vånner

A sparkling friends-to-lovers romance about dreams, destiny, and one unforgettable journey beneath the Perseids

After years of setbacks, Kitty gives herself one final chance to make her acting dream come true. When she is called back for the final audition for the role of a lifetime, she decides it will be hers—no matter the cost. Then she hears about the people whose wishes came true after watching the Perseid meteor shower from the summit of Mount Olympus. It’s perfect!

Kitty empties her savings account and convinces her best friend Petter to come with her to Greece. Practical, careful, and allergic to chaos, Petter is Kitty’s complete opposite: she is a dreamer, he is a planner. Still, he can’t ever say no to Kitty. But as the miles slip by and the mountain draws closer, the easy rhythm of their friendship begins to shift. The lines between what friends do and what they absolutely should not do keep shifting—until neither of them knows where safety ends and longing begins.

With sizzling chemistry, sharp humour, and a darker emotional undercurrent, Falling Like Stars is a romantic comedy about what happens when reality asks us to choose between the life we imagined and the person standing right in front of us. Alice Vånner is the new rising star of romance fiction in Sweden. Falling Like Stars is the second instalment of her ‘Happy Holidays’ series.
