Sails of Stone

Sails of Stone
Åke EdwardsonSometime during World War II, Swedish fisherman John Osvald mysteriously disappears on a trawler off the Scottish coast. Now, sixty years later, his son Axel also seems to have disappeared during a trip to Scotland. After being contacted by Axel’s worried daughter, Erik Winter decides to investigate the case. Once again, Winter and his Scottish colleague Steve MacDonald meet to investigate a case, but this time with consequences that neither of them could have foreseen. Meanwhile, in Gothenburg, Detective Inspector Aneta Djanali is investigating a suspected case of domestic violence. Reluctantly, she is drawn into a chain of events that makes her reflect on her past and her own choices. Like Winter, she too is forced to embark on a journey to a foreign shore.
