It is time for bed. Sam has to go to sleep. But first comes teeth brushing and nappy changing. Then Dad will read a story. But Sam doesn’t want to lie still in bed. It is so much fun turning the light on and off, jumping on the mattress, and playing with the oven and tea set. Eventually Dad has to tell Sam NO! but also promises that they are both going to sleep. When Sam’s eyes finally shut, however, Dad takes his chance and sneaks out to take care of the “dinner mess”. But then it is Sam’s turn to tiptoe into the kitchen and tell Dad who is “up and about” to go to bed.
Sofia Rådström’s wonderful rhyming stories and illustrations have been well received by critics and readers alike.
