The Gold Mine’s Secret
The Gold Mine’s Secret
Per Andersson, Kristian Wedel , illustrated by Anton LundqvistTen-year-old Albert lives in the dull town of Östköping, but when the summer holidays arrive, he finally gets to escape and visit his grandmother Sonya. Not exactly the countryside, though – more like island-side, since her tiny summer cottage sits on an island just off the coast of the fictional town of Västbacka. Together with the other secret agents of the party band Green Trombones, Albert is preparing for a very special performance – for all the local police. At the same time, they must solve the mystery of three thieves who’ve escaped from prison. And at the
very same time, they need to find old Gold-August’s missing hat before the mayor builds a massive conference centre on the island. Because everyone knows the rule: “Whoever wears the hat is the ruler of Stone Island.”
Good thing the band has nimble fingers – and a truly impressive number of members – because this mystery will take every hand, finger, and pair of long johns they can possibly muster.
Comedian Per Andersson and journalist Kristian Wedel join forces in a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud tall tale set in the imaginary town of Västbacka. Kamomilla Town meets Valleby in a high- energy, humorous read-aloud adventure, brought to life with full-colour illustrations by actor and illustrator Anton Lundqvist.
