The kid is Göran Tunström himself, growing up in Sunne, in the middle of the world. It’s about childhood’s curious joy of discovery and strange events, about friends and girlfriends, about the death of the father that makes everything fall apart, to love and poetry and adolescence that widens horizons and adulthood’s discord between the need of security versus the longing for experience.
