Who Can’t Sleep?

Stina Wirsén, illustrated by Stina Wirsén

Sleeping over at a friend’s house is exciting. You need to take your toothbrush. And a cuddly toy. But what if it’s too scary? What if it smells funny? Or what if they have funny sandwiches and the wrong kind of cheese? What if other mummies don’t know how to read a bedtime story properly?

Who Can’t Sleep? is a little book about big feelings. Stina Wirsén captures both the difficult and comic elements in a situation with her usual mastery, in both text and illustration. The book is aimed at very young children – its layout is simple, but with great finesse and accuracy Stina Wirsén finds those small nuances that make this book into a tremendous adventure!

The “Who?” series are “books for the very small”. Since 2005, 16 books in the series have been published and they are a huge success among the very small and their parents. The first book Who’s angy? was nominated for the August Prize. The series receives glowing reviews. In 2015 the series grew up with stories about the five friends and now we can read about their children.
