2025 Recipients of the Albert Bonnier Scholarship for Young and New Authors!

We are very happy to share that Donia Saleh, Pauline Olsson Ghoreishi, and Ella-Maria Nutti are recipients of this year’s Albert Bonnier Scholarship for Young and New Authors, recognizing three outstanding voices shaping the future of Swedish literature. Founded in 1947, this literary grant supports emerging and innovative authors published by Albert Bonniers Förlag or Wahlström & Widstrand, helping them continue to craft groundbreaking stories that captivate readers in Sweden and beyond.

About the authors
Donia Saleh, born 1996 in Uppsala, lives in Stockholm. She has a master’s degree in literary design from HDK-Valand and works as a cultural writer and critic. In 2020, she made her debut with YA LEILA, which was nominated for Borås Tidnings Debutantpris and Katapultpriset. Donia was the first recipient of the Ingela Lind Prize in 2024. Her second novel BILE RED was published in March 2024.

Pauline Olsson Ghoreishi, born in 1997, grew up in Knivsta and lives in Malmö. She is a journalist educated at Skurup Folk High School and has attended the writing programme at Wik Folk High School. ALEJANDRO., published in April 2024, is an intense novel about two young boys in Malmö.

Ella-Maria Nutti was born in 1995 in Gällivare. She is currently studying psychology at Umeå University. Ella-Maria Nutti made her debut in 2022 with COFFE WITH MILK, which was praised by both critics and readers. Her latest novel TO THE TREES was published in August 2024.
