In this colourful cookbook, Khadija Mohamud draws inspiration from different parts of Africa. She wants to help more people discover the amazing foods in the local cuisines across the continent.

The book includes some 50 tasty recipes. Famous dishes – such as shakshuka, tagine and jollof rice – are interspersed by less familiar but equally delicious foods – including the Gambian chicken stew with peanut butter known as domoda, the chakalaka vegetable stew and zigni, a spicy meat stew from Ethiopia and Eritrea.
