Maria Jönsson
Maria Jönsson was born in 1958 in Gävle and she now lives in Höganäs in the province of Scania (Skåne). She made her debut as a picture book illustrator in 1999 with Prata persilja (together with author Lotta Olsson). She has since then illustrated many picture books such as the series about the puppy Morris, also together with Lotta Olsson. In 2007 she made her debut as an author; she has done both text and illustrations for Astrid the Bluebottle, the first book in a new series. Besides working with children´s books Maria Jönsson illustrates for the daily newspaper Helsingborgs Dagblad.
